SASL Members and Friends have a reserved area in the Grand Jeu Lounge where we will enjoy an American Style Hot Dog and drinks, with the option of moving freely between the lounge and gaming area.  Personal Identification Card or Passport is mandatory.

SASL Members and Friends are invited to celebrate the 4^th of July at the Lido Lucerne, This Lakefront recreational area with a sandy beach, swimming pool, and playground for the kids is the perfect setting for this special SASL celebration. Let's enjoy a fun afternoon, add to the spirit and wear RED, WHITE & BLUE (optional) don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, beach towel and everything you need for a day at the lake.

The Beach House Grill will offer their gourmet Lido burgers with a variety of salads  (vegan and vegetarian options available). SASL will continue our tradition and ask you to bring a dessert for all to enjoy!

Price includes entrance to the Lido, food and limited drinks (beer, water, soft drinks, coffee)

Come join for a fun afternoon of Golf on the public Pitch & Putt! Golfclub Oberkirch, Am Hofbach 2, 6208 Oberkrich

SASL invites members and friends to take part in this fun and unique experience! Beginners and experienced players are welcome, (children over 10) come and discover your new talent or impress us with your golfing skills during an afternoon on the golf range.

Tee times (starting times) are reserved at 3 pm on the Short-Play 9-holes on Pitch & Putt Golf Course, we will start with some practice putts on the green and hit some balls from the tee on the driving range.  Your private instructors, Martin and Connie Sullivan will take you through this 3-hour golf experience.

FEES:

SASL 1st of August Farmer's Brunch

Let's celebrate the Swiss National Holiday in Swiss style! The long standing tradition is to start the day with a Farmers Brunch. 

Farmers prepare a traditional Swiss brunch hosting the guests in their garden, their barn, or their home, guests are also allowed to visit with the farm animals.

Freshly baked bread, eggs, bacon, cheeses, Rösti, coffee, milk, juice and much more will be included in the fee - this year everything home-made!

Come and celebrate this Swiss National Holiday while enjoying the natural country side of Kanton Obwalden, only 20 minutes from Lucerne.

Fee for brunch:

Children 12-15 y                    Fr. 22.00

Children (1-11 y)                    Fr.  1.00/per year

Hike and Lunch Melchsee-Frutt

Calling on all Nature Enthusiasts! Get ready to lace up your hiking boots and embark on a breathtaking adventure! We're thrilled to invite you to our much-anticipated September Hike, as we explore the stunning landscapes of Melchsee-Frutt, hosted by the wonderful Jim and Monika Tiffany.  

Event & travel information:

10:00 Meeting Point:  Stöckalp Valley Station (Bus stop and parking lots available) 

**Stöckalp - Melchsee-Frutt Cable Car** Gondola Tickets can be purchased online: melchsee-frutt.ch

- Return trip CHF 37.00 for adults with a half-fare card or GA from SBB 

- Children up to 16 years, with a Junior card and accompanied by one parent, free of charge

- For those driving, large car park near the gondola for free 

- Dress appropriate for the weather and mountain terrain

- Bring drinks and snacks for along the way

Hike Options:

1. **Melchsee Circular Hike** 

Enjoy a serene and easy hike around the picturesque Lake Melchsee. This mostly flat path is perfect for all ages and even accommodates baby carriages. The hike takes approximately 1 hour, offering stunning lake views and tranquil surroundings.

2. **Trail to Tannalp and Back** 

For those seeking a bit more adventure, the trail to Tannalp is a delightful option. This hike, also mostly flat, takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes one way. If you prefer not to walk back, you can take the Frutt train, which runs hourly from Melchsee-Frutt to Tannalp, back to the mountain station.

After an invigorating hike we have the option to unwind and indulge in a delightful afternoon snack or lunch at the Melchsee-Frutt Resort. Reservations required and will be arranged based on individual interest.

You can pick your preferred pumpkins from a big stock, you pay depending on the size, carve and be creative and have fun with your family and friends.

The Buhlmann family will provide warm menus and drinks, you can order on-site this year to make it convenient.  

Please bring your own Jack O’Lantern carving supplies, including:

• Small - medium sized sharp, pointy knife or a special pumpkin carving saw (SASL and the farmers will not be held responsible for any accidents)
• A large spoon, melon baller utensil or scoop for scraping out the pumpkin insides
• A pumpkin stencil pattern, downloaded from the internet, or bring your own design
• Disposable gloves, hand wipes and paper towels
• Sticky tape to secure your stencil paper onto your pumpkin

IMPORTANT: No thumbtack or nails are allowed on the ground - too dangerous for the cows! Please pay attention to this!

Family Christmas Event

Lace up your skates and join SASL for a magical Sunday afternoon of ice skating in a winter wonderland!

The open-air ice rink at Europaplatz in Luzern is back! Set against the backdrop of the lake, our snow-capped Alps and the enchanting Christmas market, this beautifully illuminated 500m2 ice rink can be used free of charge. Ice skates can be rented on site. Ice skates and skating supports are also available for the little ones.

Entrance is free; shoe rental is available (Adults CHF 9 / Children CHF 6) or bring your own. SASL will cover the cost of the skate rental for SASL member’s children age 12 and under. 

To warm your hands and soul, SASL will offer a hot drink for everyone!  The Chalet Bar offers additional drinks, snacks and sweets which can be purchased individually.

Fondue and Raclette is not only about anxiously waiting for your cheese to melt to enjoy a delicious dinner, it's mainly about spending time together chatting and sharing stories while keeping warm near the fireplace during a cold winter night! The Titlis Hütte will host us again for this cozy evening - with a choice of Fondue or Raclette!
