The Tanzhaus Luzern presents an enchanting dance performance based on the classic "The Nutcracker".  Experience Clara and the Nutcracker Prince in a captivating battle against the gang of mice and on their journey through the snowflakes to the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy.  This one-hour performance combines masterful choreography, stunning costumes and the magic of Christmas for an unforgettable experience.  Suitable for children and adults of all ages, this performance transports the audience into a world of emotion, music and dance - an enchanting feast for the senses.

Enjoying Fondue and Raclette is not only about anxiously waiting for your cheese to melt to enjoy a delicious dinner, it's mainly about spending time together chatting and sharing stories while keeping warm near the fireplace during a cold winter night! The Titlis Hütte will host us for this cozy evening - with Fondue again!

SASL 2023 Curling Event

Come join for a fun afternoon of Curling (adults only). Experienced and beginners welcome, if you've never tried it, this is your opportunity to take part in a unique experience of this challenging sport!

The rink is reserved for SASL with private lanes and instructors who will lead us step by step with an introduction to the sport, safety and basic techniques, making us qualified enough to compete in teams. It may be an introduction to your future sport talent!

SASL Members and Friends are invited to celebrate the 4^th of July at the Lido Lucerne, This Lakefront recreational area with a sandy beach, swimming pool, and playground for the kids is the perfect setting for this special SASL celebration. Let's enjoy a fun afternoon, add to the spirit and wear RED, WHITE & BLUE (optional) don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, beach towel and everything you need for a day at the lake.

The Beach House Grill will offer their gourmet Lido burgers with a variety of salads  (vegan and vegetarian options available). SASL will continue our tradition and ask you to bring a dessert for all to enjoy!

SASL invites members and friends to take part in this fun and unique experience! Beginners and experienced players are welcome, (children over 10) come and discover your new talent or impress us with your golfing skills during an afternoon on the golf range.

Tee times (starting times) are reserved at 3 pm on the Short-Play 9-holes on Pitch & Putt Golf Course, we will start with some practice putts on the green and hit some balls from the tee on the driving range.  Your private instructors, Martin and Connie Sullivan will take you through this 3-hour golf experience.

FEES:

Let's celebrate the Swiss National Holiday in Swiss style!  The long standing tradition is to start the day with a Farmers Brunch. 

Farmers prepare a traditional Swiss brunch hosting the guests in their garden, their barn, or their home, guests are also allowed to visit with the farm animals.

Freshly baked bread, eggs, bacon, cheeses, Rösti, coffee, milk, juice and much more will be included in the fee - this year everything home-made!

Come and celebrate this Swiss National Holiday while enjoying the natural country side of Kanton Obwalden, only 20 minutes from Lucerne.

Fee for brunch:

Children (1-11 y)                    Fr.     1.00/per year

Space is limited and reservations need to be confirmed soon.  Reserve your space by latest June 19th.  Confirmations will be based on a first come-first serve basis.

Parking below the farm, 5 min walk (but shuttle possible). Public transportation: Bus from Sarnen will stop close to the farm. Depending on the registrations received, we can arrange car pools for those who do not wish to drive.

Wild Blueberry Picking

Some of the best local wild blueberry picking lies just a short drive from Luzern outside of the little village of Schoried/Alpnach. These berries freeze very well so you may be eating them clear into 2021! Come along for a breath of fresh air and your daily dose of antioxidants.

What to bring:

• Containers for your blueberries (plastic buckets or tupperware containers)
• Appropriate clothing (long pants are not a bad idea given the underbrush but you'll be fine in shorts as well)
• Good walking shoes (if they are waterproof even better!)
• A picnic lunch, drinks and whatever else you will need for an enjoyable day in the woodland glades.
• Sausage or other meat for the grill: We will be making a fire and you can grill up what you bring

What you should know:

This is a remote & rustic location. Toilets are only available in Schoried.

Hike and Lunch Engelberg

Come join SASL members and friends to enjoy the fresh mountain air surrounded by the scent of nature in the beautiful region of Engelberg! 
 
Our private tour guides, SASL members Jim and Monika will lead you on a one hour “light tomoderate level” hike.  We ascend mostly on on the Bord Bandli. The trail is suitable for families with children, partially rocky, parts are exposed to the sun and parts are in the woods, it is well maintained with benches along the way for those who wish to stop and enjoy the view.
 
The best part of the climb is reaching the Fluehmatt restaurant, this cozy mountain chalet will be host to a well-deserved lunch offering a children’s playground.  Highly recommended is Fluehmatt’s special Engelberger Älplermagronen or wild boar bratwurst (food & drinks paid individually).
 
Be prepared:

• Payable parking is available at Brunni Bahn Talstation
• Car pool options will be offered depending on attendees
• Children are welcome under parental supervision
• Wear hiking shoes and take hiking poles
• Don’t forget your sun hat, sun screen & water and rain gear

Members and guests welcome!

You can pick your preferred pumpkins from a big stock, you pay depending on the size, carve and be creative and have fun with your family and friends.

The Buhlmann family will provide warm menus and drinks, you can order on-site this year to make it convenient.  

Please bring your own Jack O’Lantern carving supplies, including:

• Small - medium sized sharp, pointy knife or a special pumpkin carving saw (SASL and the farmers will not be held responsible for any accidents)
• A large spoon, melon baller utensil or scoop for scraping out the pumpkin insides
• A pumpkin stencil pattern, downloaded from the internet, or bring your own design
• Disposable gloves, hand wipes and paper towels
• Sticky tape to secure your stencil paper onto your pumpkin

IMPORTANT: No thumbtack or nails are allowed on the ground - too dangerous for the cows! Please pay attention to this!

Reservations will be complete with the following information:

First and Last names of all attending.
